Warren Franklin Langley, Sr. passed away peacefully at the age of 70 surrounded by his family at his home in Dalewood Estates on October 15, 2025. He is remembered as a devoted family man, respected local businessman, and faithful member of the community.

Born on February 3, 1955, in Greenwood, South Carolina, he was the child of Nolan Gray Langley and Mildred Sowell Langley. Langley was more than a family man; he devoted many years to serving his community as a city council member for Greenwood’s Ward 4. In addition to his political service, he was also an entrepreneur who owned and operated several successful businesses, including Langley Automotive, LLC for 25 years and Crazy Worms Fireworks for 45 years. His business ventures extended to various local establishments such as Quikies Convenience Store, Waterloo Food Store, Hyde Park Minit Mart, and Lil B’s of Coronaca.

Langley identified his faith in Jesus Christ as a cornerstone of his success throughout his life, highlighting the importance of spirituality in his path. He was a long-time member of South Main Baptist Church, where he was actively involved in the church community and participated regularly in Sunday School.

Warren Langley is survived by his loving wife, Jayn, with whom he shared 44 years of marriage, along with their children: Frank (Jennifer) Langley of Greenwood, Reverend Chaplain (Major) Adam (Anna) Langley of Fort Bragg, NC, and Kelli (Quinn) Machain of Greenwood, SC. His legacy continues through his grandchildren: Harper, Elle, Cooper, Gray, and Scarlet Langley of Fort Bragg, NC; Dylan Machain of Greenwood, SC; Cody Langley of Greenwood, SC; and Benji, Justin, and Jody Langley of Waterloo, SC, as well as a great-grandson, Nicklaus Langley of Greenwood, SC. He also leaves behind his brother, Thomas Nolan Langley, who resides in Greenwood, SC.

Warren was preceded in death by his parents, Nolan Gray Langley and Mildred Sowell Langley. The family expresses their gratitude towards Dr. Suzanne Fanning and her staff at Prisma Cancer Center, as well as Dr. Nancy Wicker and the staff of Hospice of the Piedmont for their compassionate care. Additionally, they extend thanks to Dr. Todd Gallman for his many years of dedicated service to Langley.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at South Main Baptist Church, officiated by Chaplain (Major) Adam Langley, Dr. Toby Frost, and Rev. Kyle Richter. A private burial ceremony will be conducted prior to the memorial service at Oakbrook Memorial Park, followed by a reception at the church for attendees to share their condolences and remembrances of Warren Langley.
