Born on October 20, 1933, in Union, SC, Crocker was the daughter of the late Roy Christopher Brown and Ruth Tweed Brown. She graduated from Union High School and furthered her education by earning a degree in Business Administration from Piedmont Technical College. Her professional career included a long tenure at Capsugel, where she achieved membership in the Capsugel Quarter Century Club prior to her retirement.
Crocker was deeply involved in her local community and church. She was an active member of Westside Baptist Church, participating in the Joy and Praise Sunday School Class, holding leadership roles within the Women’s Missionary Union, and engaging with the Girl’s Auxiliary groups.
