Governor Henry McMaster and First Lady Peggy McMaster are scheduled to vote in the U.S. Senate Special Republican Primary Run-off election on Tuesday, August 25, at 11:30 AM. The voting will take place at the Lourie Senior Center, located at 1650 Park Circle in Columbia, South Carolina.
This upcoming vote follows a busy week for the Governor. On Monday, August 17, Governor McMaster held a press conference to announce budget vetoes at the Statehouse in Columbia. He also engaged in policy meetings on Tuesday, August 18, and Wednesday, August 19.
On Wednesday, August 19, Governor McMaster had a call with President Donald J. Trump. He also oversaw a State Fiscal Accountability Authority meeting and held office hours at the Statehouse. Later that day, Governor McMaster and First Lady Peggy McMaster attended a South Carolina Arts Commission reception at the Governor’s Mansion.
Throughout Thursday, August 20, Governor McMaster held office hours at the Statehouse and participated in two economic development meetings, along with another policy meeting. He also presented the Order of the Palmetto to Ronald Norwood Alford. That evening, the Governor’s Mansion Commission and Foundation unveiled official portraits of Governor Henry Dargan McMaster and First Lady Peggy McMaster at the Governor’s Mansion.
On Friday, August 21, Governor McMaster continued with office hours at the Statehouse and presented the Order of the Palmetto to William Bill Davies. His week concluded with an agency meeting on Saturday, August 22.
