Pete Distefano: A Leader in Construction Management

Pete Distefano serves as an Operations Manager with Balfour Beatty, a major player in the construction sector, based in Wilmington, North Carolina. His journey in the industry began in 2005 after graduating from Central Connecticut State University with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and Construction Management. Distefano’s involvement with the CAGC Young Leaders program dates back to its inception in 2014 and he is currently serving his second term on the Young Leaders Action Team Committee.

Throughout his career, Distefano has been particularly vocal about the importance of community involvement, actively encouraging young leaders to participate in career fairs and engage with classrooms. His leadership attributes have contributed to his teams winning two Carolinas AGC Pinnacle Awards, a recognition of excellence in the industry.

In addition to his commitments with the Young Leaders Action Team, Distefano is also involved in the CAGC Technology Forum and the NCDOT/CAGC Structure Design Joint Committee. Outside of work, he shares a family life with his wife, Whitney, and their two children, Stella and Julian. Anna-Bryce Hobson: A Rising Star in Law

Anna-Bryce Hobson, an Associate with Parker Poe Attorneys & Counselors at Law based in Charleston, South Carolina, has made a noteworthy impact since her graduation from New York University, where she obtained a degree in Politics, concentrating in Mandarin and East Asian Studies. Before pursuing a law degree at Wake Forest University School of Law, Hobson worked for AT&T corporate in Miami, focusing on coordinating technology solutions and negotiating contracts for Chinese shipping clients and national sports teams.

Hobson joined the CAGC Young Leaders Program in 2020 and is a current member of the Young Leaders Action Team. She expressed her gratitude for being honored by CAGC, emphasizing the organization’s pivotal role in enhancing her professional network and career development.

Originating from Greenwood, South Carolina, Hobson married her childhood sweetheart, Cauley, in 2019, and welcomed their first child, a son named Lauch, in 2023.
