The second boat, identified as an Alumacraft, was carrying five passengers at the time of the incident. Two passengers from the Alumacraft, identified as 23-year-olds Thomas Chandler Davis and Abby Katherine Davis, tragically lost their lives in the crash.
Both Thomas and Abby Davis were recent graduates of Clemson University, and their deaths have deeply affected their community. During the collision, one passenger from the Alumacraft was ejected but was rescued shortly after, while another individual was hospitalized but has since been released from care.
