Greenwood County, South Carolina

The City of Greenwood, SC, operates under a council-manager system of government. The mayor, Brandon Smith, is elected at-large. The city council comprises six nonpartisan members, each representing one of the six single-member district wards. The current mayor, Brandon Smith, assumed office on November 19, 2018, succeeding Mayor Welborn Adams, who chose not to seek re-election.
