Hogs and Hens runs Friday, Oct. 16, and Saturday, Oct. 17, in downtown Abbeville. The festival began in 2013 and is held the third weekend of October, featuring craft vendors, live music and barbecue.

Admission is free and the event is family friendly, with no tickets to buy before visiting vendors. Most vendors accept cash and card.

Beer and wine are allowed inside the festival area only with a wristband from the festival information tent, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and noon to 8 p.m. Saturday. A wristband is good for one day, and visitors must show ID. Drinks must come from a licensed downtown business.

The information tent sits in front of the Abbeville Opera House on the south end of the square near the stage, and it also handles lost and found. Parking is available around the outside of Court Square, including behind the Opera House and the Belmont Inn, with handicap parking on Church Street behind the Livery Stable.

Pets, smoking, vaping and weapons are not allowed in the festival area.
