GREENWOOD, S.C. — The 4 The Love Of festival is coming back to Uptown Greenwood for a second year on Friday, Oct. 23, and Saturday, Oct. 24, with free admission both days.

Friday opens at 6 p.m. on the main stage with Son del Callao. The night then belongs to Ryan Pitts and the Southern Gentlemen, a Greenwood band with a classic country sound.

Saturday afternoon is built around walking Uptown, where local musicians play along the street, merchants are open and a row of food trucks lines up. Main stage music starts at 4 p.m. with The Band Levelz, followed by the Audrey Adams Band at 6 p.m.

The Audrey Adams Band played the street last year and has been moved up to the main stage this time. Closing the festival at 8 p.m. is Penelope Road, an Atlanta group with a 1970s feel whose first album from Warner Records comes out the day the festival begins.

The event goes on whether it rains or not, and guests are asked to bring their own lawn chairs. Year one pulled in students from Lander University and Presbyterian College, and organizers are reaching out to more campuses this fall.
