Clinton, S.C. — Laurens Academy made quick work of Community Christian Academy on Friday, notching a 32-0 homecoming victory at Todd Kirk Field.

The Crusaders scored all 32 points in the first half. With the game out of hand, shorter quarters and a running clock finished the night just before 9 p.m. Laurens Academy improved to 7-0; Community Christian fell to 0-7.

Senior Caleb Hardy scored on a 49-yard run on the first play from scrimmage and added touchdown receptions of 39 and 23 yards from quarterback Ethan Collins.

Defensive tackle Trey Oakes sacked the Ambassadors quarterback in the end zone for a safety. Collins also scored on a 3-yard bootleg run before finding Hardy again late in the second quarter.

A statewide game board listed the same Laurens Academy 32, Community Christian 0 final for the Oct. 9 matchup in Laurens.

Laurens Academy has a bye next Friday and returns home Oct. 23 against Newberry Academy.
